BMW STARTER MOTOR RECALL – RISK OF OVERHEATING AND FIRE

Recall affecting certain BMW models due to concerns with the engine starter motor. The issue involves the potential for the starter motor to overheat, which could pose a fire risk.

1. Software Update Recall:
A programming update will be performed to monitor and shut down the starting procedure if the system detects overheating in the starter motor. This is intended to prevent further damage or the possibility of a fire. If your dealership performs this recall, it will remove your bench unlock, and you will need another one.
